Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before using this air cooler

For safety

  • Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapours and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other units
  • Read product labels for flammability or other warnings

Prevent accidents
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons when using your air cooler, follow basic precautions including the following:

  • Be sure the electrical service is adequate for the model you have chosen. This information can be found on the serial plate, which is located either behind the louvers or on the left hand side of the unit

Electrical Information
The complete electrical rating of your air cooler is stated on the serial plate. Refer to the rating when checking the electrical requirements

  • Do not use an adaptor plug or extension lead
  • Do not block the air flow inside with blinds, curtains or furniture, or outside shrubs, enclosures or buildings

 

Using the air cooler

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, read the important safety instructions before operating this unit.
To begin operating the cooler follows these simple instructions:

  1. Plug in the air cooler
  2. Check the water tap switch under the water before filling with water

 

Control Panel and Functions

On / Off – Turns the unit on and off. Press the on/off key once to switch the unit on. Press it again to turn the unit off. The power lamp is always on unless the unit is unplugged

Timer – This air cooler has a built in 7.5 hour timer. This enables you to pre-set the unit to switch off automatically. The display goes: 0.5 > 1, 0.5+1 =1.5 > 2, 0.5+2 =2.5 > 1+2=3, >0.5+1+2=3.5 >0.5+1+2+4=7.5 >off

Fan speed – HIGH FAN-maximum air circulation. MIDDLE FAN-Moderate air circulation. LOW FAN-Slow air circulation

Swing – The swing feature provides a continuous side-to-side air circulation. If a fixed direction of air is preferred, the louver can be stopped at any position

Mode – The mode key allows you to select normal, natural or sleep mode of fan
              Normal – When you press the normal key, the fan speed is running under selected speed
              Natural – When you press the natural key, the fan is random. The fan speed goes as follows:
              High → Middle → Low → High → Middle →Low → High → Middle → Low alternately
              Sleep – When you press the sleep key, the setting will decrease every 30 minutes except when the speed
              setting is Low
Air Cooler – Fill with enough water before pressing this key
Coolant – Freeze the coolant bottle before using. Secure it to the thread before putting it in the water
Note – Coolant bottle can be re-used by re-freezing
Ice Tank – Ice can be put in this container, if necessary
Ionizer – This function is to provide fresh air, the function is always turned on when unit is on (This function is for some models only)

Maintenance and Cleaning

Every 2 weeks clean the filters on the unit

  • Turn the unit OFF and remove the plug from the outlet
  • Unscrew the tap to drain dirty water out
  • Wash in hot soapy water, rinse and shake dry

Note: Failure to keep air filter clean will result in poor air circulation

Back cover removal and cleaning

  • Turn the unit OFF and remove the plug from the outlet
  • Unscrew and then remove back cover. Disconnect the connector before removing back cover
  • Never use harsh cleaner, wax or polish on the cabinet
  • Clean the filter using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry

To re-install

  • Carefully pull down the back cover
  • Connect the connector
  • Install the screws
